Registered Clinical Counselling
&
Expressive Arts Therapy

"People come to therapy not so their wounds can be healed, but so their wounds can be blessed"

- Matt Lacata

Welcome! I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and somatic- and arts-based therapist. I have an M.A. in Expressive Arts Therapy and Psychology, and additional training in Hakomi Method, focusing-based therapy and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy. Counselling sessions are a woven tapestry of embodied felt sense awareness, creative exploration, parts work, attachment psychotherapy, internal family systems, and family constellations.

I understand that meeting a new therapist can be vulnerable. I am here to support you through the process.

I offer sliding-scale rates and a free 15 min consultation to see if we would be a good fit.

Registered Clinical Counselling, Expressive Arts Therapy and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy are all covered under RCC extended health benefits. Sessions are held online or in-person on Cortes Island, BC and Victoria, BC

Expressive Arts Therapy with Kids, Teens and Adults

Expressive Arts Therapy is a trauma-sensitive somatic and creative therapy that can support you to process and integrate emotional experiences through creative play and embodied present moment experience. I offer expressive arts therapy to kids, teens and adults as part of a clinical counselling session.

Expressive Arts Therapy is a multi-modal approach where you can experience many varied art forms in a single session. A traumatic event, stuck problem or difficult exerience can be processed through the body with a gesture or movment, which can turn into a visual art creation, story or poem. By staying with the body and the act of creation, and seemlessly transitioning between many art forms, you will engage different senses, and ignight new neural networks. Allowing you to naturally integrate the past and become receptive to insights and ideas that will support your future.
